Juvenile Court Jurisdiction
Jurisdiction if crime committed while def. was 17 or younger. Court can retain jurisdiction until def. becomes 21 years.
Juvenile who is 16+ must be charged directly in adult court if any of the serious felonies listed in 12-15-34.1 is alleged.
Prosecutor may move to transfer case of a juvenile 14+ years old at the time of the alleged crime. Criteria for court to consider is listed in 12-15-34 generally relates to nature of offense and prior record of juvenile.
