Bio:
Attorney Leonard Frieling has been practicing law for the past 35 years and is licensed to practice in Colorado State and Federal Courts. Attorney Frielings Criminal Law experience includes sex allegations, allegations of violence, drug / alcohol cases, weapons charges, domestic violence, University disciplinary matters, and theft charges. Attorney Frieling is also experienced in all traffic matters including DUI cases, vehicular homicide, and vehicular assault.
Attorney Frieling is a life member of the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar and has served on the Board of Directors for two terms. He is also the immediate past Chair of the Boulder Criminal Defense Bar, a chapter of the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar, having served in that position for eight years, ending in 2004. Attorney Frieling was past chair of the Juvenile Law Committee, Boulder Bar Association and he is currently the co-editor of criminal law articles in the Colorado Lawyer (monthly publication of the Colorado Bar Association) and serves as the President of the Executive Counsel of the Criminal Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association.
Attorney Leonard Frieling served for five years on the Board of Directions for the Boulder County Bar Association and teaches numerous continuing legal education courses to other lawyers and judges throughout the state and nationally, as well as having been an occasional guest lecturer at New Mexico Highlands University. On two occasions, he has served as a guest lecturer for the Criminal Law Clinic at the Denver University College of Law, and has done educational programs for the Boulder County Department of Social Services, sex abuse team.
