Juvenile Court Jurisdiction
Jurisdiction over persons under 18 when before the court; upon motion by defendant or prosecutor, court may transfer to Juvenile Court a person 18+ who is alleged to have committed a crime prior to becoming 18.
No jurisdiction over juvenile 16+ where crime alleged is serious felony set forth in 232.8.
Upon motion of prosecutor court may transfer a juvenile who was 14+ at time of the offense if factors set forth in 232.45(6)(a)-(c) are found true; or if juvenile is 15+ and factors set forth in 232.45(7)(a)-(c) are found true.
