Juvenile Court Jurisdiction
Juvenile court jurisdiction over children defined as persons under 21 years old.
No juvenile court jurisdiction over juveniles 15+ at time of commission and charged with a serious violent felony listed in 350.
Prosecutor, or court on its own motion, may request transfer of any juvenile 14+ at time of offense who is charged with any of the serious violent felonies listed in S 857. Burden is on state to establish all factors listed in 862.
