Juvenile Court Jurisdiction
Jurisdiction over persons under 17 when offense committed, however if before court after 18th birthday, court may order the case moved to adult court. ( 72A).
No Juvenile Court jurisdiction over person 14+ at time of offense and accused of first or second degree murder, must be filed in adult court.
No transfer provision; however, in certain cases juvenile 14 to 17 when offense committed and accused of a felony with one or more prior convictions, or accused of a crime specified in 52, can be given both a juvenile sentence and an adult sentence to follow.
