Juvenile Court Jurisdiction
Jurisdiction over persons 13+ but under 18 when before court. ( 43-21-151).
No Juvenile Court jurisdiction over juvenile 13+ and accused of crime punishable by death if committed by an adult or involving use of a firearm as set forth in 43-21-151 must be filed in adult court.
Prosecutor or court on own motion may seek to transfer juvenile 13+ to adult court where juvenile to adult court, factors for court to consider set forth in 43-21-157 (5)(a)-(n).
