Juvenile Court Jurisdiction
Jurisdiction over persons less than 18 years old when alleged crime was committed, ( 2151.011; 2152.02), except that no juvenile court jurisdiction over person 21+ accused of felony regardless of age when crime committed. ( 2152.02).
No direct file provision. ( 2152.03)
Juvenile court must transfer to adult court any juvenile 14+ at time of alleged conduct constituting a serious felony listed at 2152.10(A). Court may transfer any juvenile 14+ and accused of a felony. ( 2152.10(B)). Court must conduct a hearing and make findings set forth at 2152.12(B), and consider factors set forth at 2152.12(D).
