Real Life 'Making a Murderer' Suspect Ordered to be Released from Prison

Brendan Dassey, one of the people involved with the murder case that lead to the Netflix series, “Making a Murderer” has been ordered to be released from prison pending the appeal of his 2007 murder conviction.

Authorities say Dassey who was 16 years old, helped his uncle rape and murder a female photographer, then burn her remains and dispose of them on their property. The case received notoriety due to the fact that authorities were accused of unfairly coercing Dassey to admit to his role in the crime. Dassey was considered too young and mentally unfit to properly defend himself due to a low IQ.
